Incredible Egypt

Expectations for Egypt were high and it absolutely did not disappoint. It has been on the bucket list for as long as I can remember and from the moment the plane landed in Cairo the excitement started to build.

The Pyramids, Sphinx, Valley of the Kings, Temples of Karnak, Luxor and Abu Simbel were stunning and at times I had to pinch myself to make sure I was really there. 

It wasn’t just the places, the Cairo Museum and the new Great Egyptian Museum were overwhelming. Thankfully our guide knew how to find the most important features otherwise we would have wondered around for days trying to take it all in.

Egypt is not easy and it is physically testing. Lots of walking, early mornings and constant harassment from the locals asking (demanding) that you buy their souvenirs. 

Viking was an amazing way to see Egypt. Definitely worth the premium price.
