Ancient Greece

Greece was a filler between the Northern Lights and Egypt/Jordan. We arrived the day before a national strike and it really brought the country to a standstill.

We chose a 7 day itinerary, taking in the ancient sites of Athens, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi and Meteor. Too cold for the Islands, maybe next time.

Mostly great weather really contributed to a fabulous week.

Delphi was a surprise. It was a stunning site and the stadium built high in the mountains was incredible to see. 

I was really glad we did Greece before Egypt because, to be absolutely honest, the quality of the archaeological sites was no where near the level of Egypt (and Jordan).
