Kruger

I didn’t realise just how lucky I was when I stayed at Camp George in Kruger.

I experienced the Big 5 in just the first 2 days. In fact, the first of Big 5 I encountered was a White Rhino. Just an incredible moment and we stayed with her for about 30 minutes as she had a drink from the water hole and then rolled around in the mud.

In addition to the rhino (I saw 7 in total), there were great encounters with leopard.lion, buffalo, elephant, numerous bird and antelope species and even a small herd of hippos.

I would head back to Camp George in a heartbeat and I hope to do so in either 2025 or 2026.

Amazing accommodation, excellent food and very knowledgable guides made this a very special few days and created memories that will stay with me forever. Or, until I return.
