Dubai stopover

Dubai is an interesting place to visit. Known around the world for its higher (and higher) buildings, the creation of islands and resorts to attract visitors and residents, glorious weather and great food. 

But Dubai is also home to fabulous desert and even wildlife. 

Dubai was a stopover for 3 days on the way through to Europe. I enjoyed the city but I especially loved the desert. The colours were beautiful and as the sunlight played across the dunes I was fortunate to see UAE’s national animal, the Oryx as well as some healthy gazelle.

A nice warm up before hitting Europe and the chase to see the Northern Lights.
