I love visiting India. The people are friendly, the cities are wonderfully chaotic and the National Parks are simply fabulous.

The conservation work that India has undertaken is bearing fruit. The wildlife is plentiful and incredibly diverse.

Before I visited I was told that the first time I encountered a tiger it would be life-changing. I’m not sure it was life-changing but it was certainly amazing. Ranthambore will forever occupy a place in my heart. The tiger followed the jeep I was travelling in and gave me an experience I will never forget.

I have since encountered many more tigers, in Ranthambore and in Kabini.

My next visit will be in April 2025 and I can’t wait!
